ive been researching a few different subs for about a month now and ive come to a decision, but some second opinions would be nice //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif . im wanting an sql setup and i only have 600 rms to work with for now. its going to be an rsx so space isnt so much of an issue and i can build what ever box is needed. some subs i thought about were an idmax, rl-p, and even hype Rs at one point. but one sub thats really stuck out to me is the SI mag. im thinking about getting a 15'' mag off 600 rms. what do you guys think about this? anything that would work better for me with about 500$? sorry for the long post

i seriuosly have never heard one bad thing about them. but im just wondering if i cant get something that would suite me better for 500$ . for that much money i could get one of many of the "super subs"

I think 600w will starve a 15" Mag.
Inarguably a capable driver but it's wattage hungry...
Wattage hungry?

He asked about the SI mags? What driver are you talking about?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

I know which Mags he was speaking of.

It was my understanding that the 15" would prefer considerably more than 600w.

If that statement was made in error then I will happily retract it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

It is not true at all. But if you want to keep it up that would be fine. I am sure a few others will chime in about it:up2somet:

But anyone who told you that has never heard a 15 inch mag off of 600rms. There are plenty of people running mags with as little as 250rms, and they still sound great.

Also, maybe someone said it could handle 1500rms daily. That could be why you thought it needs a lot of power.
