Simple sub size question.

Maybe CT Sounds but haven't decided.

I got 2 of the Dayton RSS390HE-22 sitting in the boxes I need to move but shipping would be crazy most likely they weigh 35 pounds each..

They would destroy on 3k but final ohm load on the pair would be either .5 or 2 which makes things a little trickier.

Yeah, I looked at those, I think the Smart3 would melt them sadly. Smart3 does 3K at 1-2ohms.

I saw a disagreement so I googled it myself

2 15" have more cone area.

My original thinking was flawed.
I looked it up. To find the area of the cone looks like it is radius x radius x 3.14
An eight Inch sub 4x4x3.14= 50.24 for single sub.
A single 15” sub 7.5 x 7.5 x 3.14 = 176.625
Least this is the information I found.
