Problem! Box I got from Vitveet

Seems as though you were cutting it to close in the first place, space wise. I would have never attempted it. Why in the hell would you not brace the box??? If you did not want any bracing, you should have bought a prefab. And lastly mdf is fucking garbage, Birch ftw!

just //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif, don't complaing about it sounding bad because you're trying to fit 3 type r's in 5.5 cubes which is slightly over enough for 2.
are you on crack? 5.5 is plenty for 3 12's... specs say 2 cubes per sub, and when you have common chambers you dont need as much as 3 single chambers

Regardless of whether or not it was something you'd do, you guys are forgetting that a properly built box should literally never fall apart.

Thats just a ****ty glue job, Ive never used screws and i ran 7k to my pair of 12's and no glue joints ever gave in. Glue is what holds boxes together not screws and they dont make a box stronger either. That piece shouldnt of came apart. But maybe you had some part in it from making it fit in your car? Also dont use gorilla glue just use Titebond II.
LOL, looks like me and you need to have a talk on Yahoo.

Well I use screws and wood glue, so yeah I have never had a box fall apart on me. I would rather have the box over engineered than under-engineered and falling apart. Shit is what it is if I was the op, I would reinforce the box and be on my way....

Well i've been using Vitveet for over 3 years and has built 4 enclosures for me both sealed and ported and I've never had any problems with the build quality of any of the boxes me has built. He's a stand up guy in my book.

I'd make a thread about it like the OP did, just to inform people of the issue with the box, and fix it myself as well. I wouldn't ask for a refund, just a lesson learned in this case.

I doubt anyone is going to get a refund. That is a stupid job on the box. I cannot believe a joint came apart lol. Either his cuts were crap and didn't clamp or he didn't use titebond. People need to stop huggin Viveet's nuts so hard.
