Problem! Box I got from Vitveet

Now, im not defending vitveet, but it seems suspect that the box came apart a week later, are you telling me you didnt bang on the subs for a week ?
ive never seen a box come apart either, I was using it for about 1 week until i heard the wood rattling, The box doesnt move around in the trunk or anything

x2, this is not the first thread where his quality has been questioned. Remember the dual ID8 box with the uneven corners and how he painted where glue was going to be on a joint?

Depends how it lands, but a normal sized enclosure should have no trouble staying in tact. The only thing that should fail is the MDF itself, tearing off at the glue joints, since the glue is strong than the MDF. I've thrown some of my smaller boxes off a roof with nothing more than some chipped edges as a result.
exactly, the wood itself would be the only thing damaged. The enclosure itself wouldn't come apart. And I remember that thread as well, alot of questioning about his quality happened in that thread

Maybe its just me but i dont see how the glue and joints could be good for a week and then they break.
Are you saying I took the box out and threw it over a bridge? If you look at the pics close enough you can even see where 1 of the screws broke, Ive had plenty of boxes and have moved them in and out of trunks countless times and never had one come apart, how can it be my error for a box coming apart that is in my trunk that is stationary?

never said that.
ok and this is the problem that pissed me off, how does the back wall come apart unless it wasnt properly put the together? Anything not ***embled correctly would seem to hold until everyday stress is applied to it. That is like putting on a car wheel, if you don't not make sure all the nuts are tightened of course the car will drive on the wheel until eventually the wheel falls off

How would he know that the glue wouldn't hold?
idk, he wouldn't. I dont build boxes so don't know if there is a way to really tell if a box is made poorly.

Granted it shouldn't have fell apart, but if the builder has had questionable builds in the past I would be cautious. I've been looking at getting a boxed built for about a week and have been doing plenty of research on who to do it and problem others have had with them.

I was lured by his cheap prices, but I would defently hire someone else.

my box was .5inch off my dimensions, then the back panel came apart, and the middle hole is slightly to big

and his only solutions were for me to pay for another box, pay to send it back or he would send me free screws, I mean come on if he would of atleast resolved this issue between us this would have never made it on here

Looks like the main problem is crappy glue, since the glue is failing first. Maybe it was defective because it's been stored in some extreme temps?

He knew something was up because he told me in an email "If you plan on running 1500 watts or more use some bracing" My old setup contained 2 15 Kicker CVX's off a kx2500.1 and the box did not have any bracing and lasted

Best bet is to fix what you got and take your loss, from the sounds of it he's not going to do anything to back up his product.
