Hello,
I have an amp that is about 25 years old. Worked fine when I took it out after 3-4 years of use. It sat unused. I got the urge to install it and upgrade the amp to the sub in my truck. I ran the 8 gauge cable to the battery. Grounded it to chassis, I don’t think I had a good ground. So I grabbed jumper cables to just get it mocked up and make sure I had stuff hooked up right before final mounting and make sure I had a good ground. As soon as I attach either the ground or the positive the fuse immediately pops. I took everything off load side to make sure there wasn’t a short occurring from something else. When I tell continuity between positive and negative terminals, they are not shorted. Am I missing something?
