If set the gain in the front down to where the 40RMS 5X7s I already have wouldn't get blown but left the 6X9s at 80-100RMS, wouldn't the front get drowned out unless I turned the fader way forward?You can get a 4 ch that produces more power to run some stronger 6x9s, just set the gain in the front speakers accordingly.
Also I noticed some people are recommending 6X9 subs while others mentioning regular 6X9 speakers. It's my understanding that good 6X9 speakers with good power from the amp can provide decent (not earth shaking) bass. My concern is that 6X9 subs won't offer much range of sound from the rear except bass and will require more power...
