Hello I also have a question I want to buy 160ah lto, i.e. 4 banks but I have a stock alternator of 140 a and a maximum load of 14.9 do you think it could hold a 12kw audio system 8 on bass and 4 on spekers
The answer is maybe. Their are too many variables at that power level for anyone to do more than guess. Amplifier efficiency, impedance rise, alternator efficiency etc all come into play.
Buy what you’re planning on using and try it. But be prepared to add more if needed.
My guess is no. 1st time that 8k tries to get its full power, that alternator is not going to be able to keep up. This may create some issues. Amplifier going into protect, amplifier clipping, and could lead to alternator failure.
160AH lithium that supports a 12K system is pretty lofty! I've seen dual 24's or quad 12's that will do this. Most of what 've run across is dual 24's and that setup runs around $3000-$3500.00 dollars. If you installed the HO Alt have you actually found a 160AH lithium bank that supports a 12K system? This product from GlowVoltage will support the system at a reduced AH level - no HO alt needed.
These will support the burst you need, they are US domestice so you will need to find something comparable in Poland.
Meet the new kid on the block. Clocking in at a blistering 720 amps of sustained output the Series 3 delivers more power on demand than any other battery in our lineup - and does it while being small enough to fit under your seat.
