New test..IA 20.1 vs. Kicker ZX2500.1 vs. Orion 2500D

i am having a hard time understanding this impedence rise thing.......

so what we are saying is that..... at the frequency of the burp, it rose to .98 right?

is this a burp at box tuning?

so the impedence would actually drop as music play right?

i have read some things but couldn't get it clear

hmm I just looked up specs on said amps --

IA 20.1 1800@1 ohm 450@4

Orion 2500D 2500@1 ohm 625@4

Kicker ZX2500.1 2500@2 ohms 1250@4

My only REAL choice for USACi 301-900 could be the 2 20.1's

Hope to meet all you guys at finals!

and the kicker will burp at .25 ohm
Mine wouldn't even burp @1ohm w/o cutting out...

To the ear, I had about a dozen people around... daily in my truck.

IA 20.1 @.35

Kicker ZX2500.2 @1.4

On my 15MT... DAILY

The Kicker was noticeably louder to the ear.

Hope mine does 1 ohm dcr daily:eyebrow:
Don't get me wrong, it does 1ohm daily. Sometimes you need to warm the coils up a bit...

But when I burped full tilt @.9DCR on cold coils, it would cut-out...

BTW, when I clamped... I was getting something like ~2300 with a final impedance of 3.6ohms... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Was voltage stable/low?

Wonder if it was a remote wire thing.....is the remote wire big?Where is it run to?

wow when i tested it would do full tilt burps @ 1 ohm without rolling up.

but @ .5 and .25 you have to roll it up slowly to get a burp off, and @ .25 i wasn't able to get a full tilt burp out of it.

that kicker is one meeeeeeean amp. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

can someone answer that????
it most likely went into protect due to voltage drops. or it just wasn't stable that low for daily. electrical system of mine consists of 2 Kinetik HC2400's, 8 runs of 1/0awg to the back, 240amp iraggi alt.

The mod for the Kicker amp is for voltage, not impedance.

I run 8 of the ZX2500s in my van @17.3V(turn on higher than that) at 1.3.

We have a CRX in Street B with two ZX2500s and they burp at .7 just fine.

We also have a Blazer in Extreme 1 that runs two KX2500s at 1.3 per with a 17V+ system.

The KX and the ZX are the exact same boards.

I am on Team Kicker and run Kicker amps.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

The IA products are awesome though, I've known Nick for a long time. The CRX will have 40.1s in it for drag finals. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
