You use that down the side correct?
Well, I wiggle the router and it creates dents in my work.

thats what the little wheel at the bottom is for so it roll along so it cant dent the wood, making it flush, hence the name, flush bit

wheel on bottom of flush mount bit acts as a guide so you shouldnt dent the wood at all. works like a charm whenever i need it!!

more than that it looks like the ports are almost touching the back wall.

how close are they from the back???

Flip, Im not familiar with Fleckstone. Where do you get it and how much does it cost?

It sold at Lowe's and Walmart.

There are two versions:

1 says the word stone on it and runs about $9/can

Another (made bu Rustoleum) says texture and runs about $6/can.

I use the Rustoleum texture. I really like it and it matches my interior....

However, I will end up using about 5 cans to get it looking really nice.

the pretty trim at the front of the ports is screwed in from the back, so no ugly screws on the outside... the ports are mounted to the baffle, you can remove the pretty trim, carpet the box, and screw it back on //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Ahh man i love that design. This was my first ported box and the 3rd box ive built. Thanks for the feedback and suggestions guys. Im going to try a slot port box next week for my Treo

If you use fleckstone just buy the cheap clear at walmart and put a thin coat over it after the fleckstone drys for about 12 hrs. It will give the fleckstone a good bond and keep it from chunking off so easily.
