My install's coming along nicely

if that compartment is going to be sealed maye a fan to keep the components nice and cool.. isolate the ground for the fan or put a small cap to filter the noise.. other than that make sure you deaden the doors and put something to decouple the rear wave that kiils transient response and causes all kids of breakup.. believe it or not those paper egg crates work wonders. make **** sure you seal up the doors good as possible as well.
Thanks! Cant do much with the front doors in the way of damping material in the doors, Electric windows, yano? Just doing panel damping with Damplifier Pro and will do Luxury Liner over the inside of the doors under the stock plastic door covers (I hope it fits!) And that should seal up most of the other holes as best we can. I wish it could be perfect, but...it's a 2006 Grand Caravan door not a speaker cabinet!

And I'm thinking of little quiet computer fans over each amplifier for amp cooling. That 10 inch radiator fan is still in the box on my table! I know it would work wonderfully to cool both amps but as others here said would be too loud during operation to be tolerable. I haven't even tried it to see.

If you'd stop talking out of your ass giving advice on other threads about things you have no knowledge on and do some actual research, you'd see that there is plenty more you can do for doors with electric windows. I'm sure the best build log to follow for this has already been linked for you in one of your threads.

I have some knowledge of most things I comment about. I may not have a lot or any experience with them in the past 30 years, but electricity is electricity! Inputs and outputs, yano? I can do that!

If only someone believed you actually know about electricity.....

I do, from early childhood to when I graduated Washington University St louis 1995 with a BS in EE, one in CS too! Want me to scan them and post them? I can and will!

BS=bullshit in Electrical Engineering...can't even hook up 2 simple amps. CS=Customer Service. You really shouldn't give advice for others if you can't do your own install.

I like it that my install guy is young and healthy! It would kill me to climb around doing stuff like he does to get stuff installed. I have MS, I don't think anyone here knows that. I could do it all I'd just tire much more rapidly. That's what I pay him for and he does exactly what we agree on and I help him with some things like the metal covers I made for the big holes in the inner door sheet metal and there ya go! Like this!

I made the pattern and cut the sheet metal, put 1/16" sticky both sides tape on, held it in place and installer guy nailed it all down with his electric drill and hex head driver fit to the hex head self tappers!

Degrees don't mean knowledge....especially after 20 years of not using it.

Hmm...giving people advice on here in other threads I see by him and yet he hasn't used his skills in over 20 years doesn't qualify a person as an EE. Certified or not, if your not currently doing that particular job skill, he (John err I mean Jane Kuthe) should not make suggestions let alone help people on here.
