Those were both MY decisions! I was prepared to solder all the RCAs when he told me he knew a company that made custom RCAs and I said really? Let's get some! And we did. And the PHD speakers were totally mine! I did some research and decided on them myself. Installer guy works WITH me and installs this stuff. He was actually surprised that the RCAs came to $227 but I have the money so... And I'm having fun! I think I'm not going full active yet. Maybe next Spring!

Not knocking Phd but 1 5.25s up front.. No.. Tats like putting 5 1/4 bookshelf in a highend home system..

2 Phd is nice but award winning is a stretch. Same for those amps. For the money arc is superior so is cdt dynaudio morel rainbow and many others.

Tell you what...go back to page 1 and read thru some of the BS that John/Jane has said. Somewhere along the way he has stated at least once or twice the he AND his installer are learning together. That is something that a red flag should be raised. Depending upon how much exp. a installer can do and capable of, installing 3 amps should be a no brainer to his so called "installer".

Have you even seen proof that he's won awards yourself, or are you just taking his word for it? Look him up by name in thing various competition organizations. You probably won't find him.

They were local competitions I think, you would not recognize them as relevant. Egomaniacs never do.

I have a pic from today where installer guy was cutting me some custom speaker rings for under my 5.25" PHD speakers! I bought a pair of MDF 5.25" speaker rings but they were a little small. So installer guy made me some slightly bigger ones! Perfect! Pics tomorrow!!

He's gonna mount the tweeters low on the A-pillars too tomorrow! (Also pics tomorrow) Then we're gonna power up the big amps and DSP! My front stage is gonna sound SO GOOD!
