I have a 2002 Chevy avalanche pick up I had pos dual touchscreen stereo in it that worked fine but I wanted to upgrade so I bought a Kenwood dpx795bh head unit brand new (after buying the same one used and it put out no sound so I figured I got screwed on it) now I put the new one with proper adapter plug and all and still no sound at all even out of my subs and 500 watt Kenwood amp. .I am not an amateur at this shit and have been installing bad *** systems since the 80s I hope someone on here knows more than me and can help

No sounds mean the radio is getting no current through it. Ohms to the Chevy is probably lower than your subwoofer and amp. Probably match the amp then to your car first. 3 ohms. Then measure the sub to the amp. Correct wire used.

Can I ask you this ,if no current is flowing. Through my radio then how is it my red positive and yellow constant are both hot and everything on stereo is working properly just no sound also my second question is my sub is single 4 ohm vc.jlaudio and I have a Kenwood head unit running a Kenwood mono block amp which is basically a stand alone system except for the auto on wire why the heck would my sub not even be working

Yes. It’s hot with the yellow and red wire because though some of the current is lighting up the screen, not all parts of the circuit are used. Maybe volume is a little low due to no current or voltage at the base-emitter junction. One of two things maybe happening, the volume is too low because few currents going through it, just little amplified. And two the pn junction is not continuously active meaning saturated so that all parts are working. The way around this is they use a jumper wire. Pin to pin. To see if the base-emitter can receive more amplification or switching there. Volume on again and not too low amount. If not broken. I’m assuming not broken. That’s at the transistors and iso wiring happenings. Assuming also the correct iso was used.

So it's firing up, but no sound. Is the amp firing up? Have you tried a different source directly into the amp?

Sounds like your amp is not getting an audio signal. Are you sure that your wiring is correct? Does your amp turn on? Have you checked the settings on your headunit? Maybe you have to set the system volume in the settings. Hopefully, you have solved your issue. Let us know.
