heres some new pics from today, applied a coat of bondo gold then ran out, went to store and found bondo ultimate, supposed to be a little lighter weight and easier to sand, hence the different colors, the lighter blue is the ultimate, definitly worth the extra 2 bucks, more sanding to come tomorrow, and probably the next day.....

FYI really expensive full-suspension bikes aren't meant to be ridden on the sidewalk, unless you just got it you better get some dirt on it ASAP.

i clean the crap out of it after i ride, it's actually not that clean right now, you guys would flip out if you saw how clean it could be, let's just say i take good care of what i got

How do you clean it? I have a Gary Fisher advance right now (decent hardtail) but next summer I plan on doing a serious upgrade to either a HiFi series or a Trek Fuel-EX series full suspension. Obviously spending at least $1k more makes me a bit more motivated to keep it in good shape.

Right now I really don't do a **** thing to keep my bike clean since I know it's not really worth a ton of a money, I've hosed it down before, but I am curious how you get every single nook and cranny of the components clean like that.

i just use a hose and a rag or two, every once in a while i'll take the chain off and clean it with some chain cleaner and re lube everything, plus keep inside all the time, so it won't rust

what do u think of dynamat Xtreme...i used it in my buddies 03 civic 4door trunk. it worked pretty well for only doing the trunk lid an under the shelf speakers...just wondering what you did for your trunk

if i could have afforded dynamat extreme i would have used it, I purchased 120 sq ft of elemental designs edead V1 for 120 shipped, which I believe is about 5 times cheaper than dynamat, it's not as thick, and does not stick as well, yet i used atleast 2 layers of deadening in most places, followed by several coats of Edead V3 (a thick deadening liquid that is painted on)

If your friend is interested I have about 50 or 60 sq feet of the mat left, plently enough to do entire trunk including sides, bottom, and trunk lid, plus lots of layers for your doors, and you'd probably still have some extra for radom rattles that you come across. Make me an offer and I'll ship it you

dynamat extreme is actually one of the best performers on the market, albiet it is the most expensive. so if you can get it at that price, you **** well should.

and on top of that - a BIG rattle killer for the civic trunks - one that i did to dtours trunk. is loosen the two bolts that attach the trunklatch to the edge of the trunk compartment. you know, that U shaped metal hook that the trunklid attaches to. theres two bolts on each side. loosen them and push the latch hook down away from the trunk lid and re tighten. it should only move like 1\8 inch at most, but it will seriously tighten the trunklid to the car more and kill a nasty rattle when theres too much pressure the actual latch will bounce on that hook causing a terrible buzzing on the outside of the car.

but yes, i would use dynamat extreme if i had the luxury.
