This is nuts. I love it. Even though you're using the LC2i, have you tried just bypassing the stock HU and seeing the difference it makes in bass response?

I am actually missing alot of output above 35hz. I have a re-cone coming with the accordion surround which drops mass by 200 grams and a 3db increase in sensitivity. Nick said it should help quite a bit. Next step is a good DSP.

$550 and 3 months later....

Super simple recone. Bolt on spider and surround clamps. Only had to glue the dust cover.

Big difference. Gained alot of output above 35hz and it still plays stupid low.

Rained all day today so I hooked up my Basshead Garage Wattmeter.

10 day of vacation next week so I can finally finish the false floor.

Have to order some gas struts to raise the floor and some more carpet to do the bottom.

Oh yeah and I pulled the Two 2200s out and went to the tiny Taramps Big Boss 3k to gain some more room.

Pretty nice being able to use the trunk again. Have some vibration but I'm thinking when the bottom is carpeted it will fix that. Contemplating drilling 2" holes in the floor frame for some air flow.

I lost quite a bit of power but I was okay with that for all the room I saved. Most power I have seen on the watt meter is 900 around 4.5 ohms on the 3k without getting into clipping.
