well for right now i think the enclosure it is in is making the sub sound bad, so im going to have them build me a custom box tuned to 35 hz

well that is why bass boost is crap! it sends a clipped signal thats why! keep that all the way down bro!

be quiet.

tune your amp with your "gain knob" all the way UP. this way you can turn it all the way up when you want your systems full potential, and turn it DOWN from that when you are waking up and dont want it loud, moms in the car, or the girlfriend doesn't want to hear it.

shoulda done some reading on here first. Your running 500RMS in a prefab box with 1 12" sub. Yes memphis makes nice gear, but not worth a grand.
If you would have read here first, you could be running something much better, WITH warranty.

For example, you could have a 15" Fi BL on a Sundown SAZ1500D (15" sub on 1500RMS watts, triple the power), and a custom ported box for LESS, even if you had a shop build the box for you.

because everyone wants unknown brands in their car, rather than enjoying the system they bought supporting their local shops. it's amazing how single minded audio guys can be sometimes.

nope but I'm 16 not allowed to drive people till I am 17, and i was thinking about getting a rear seat delete kit anyways

have a custom box made and you'll be able to use that rear seat...you'll want it one day.

I like your whip, Install looks pretty clean and should be alright on SQ. How do you like the new memphis hybrid amps? I just sold my old ones and haven't seen the new ones yet.

Thanks. About the amp, i don't have anything to compare it to so i cant really say because this is my first setup. Also, ive only had the system in my car for about 4 days.

well I still advise you to check your settings, take a picture of them and show us. Also as for find the tuning of the box, just measure the outside of it, how wide the port is and how long to find the size and tuning. If tuned properly you shouldnt have problems and just upgrade from here.
