Granted I built the box and installed the headunit with the help of a friend , and got the amp used but this whole setup was $600 with wire and install kits and sirus unit

hmm...well what exactly are you looking for? just a sub setup no door speakers? if so I would def get a new HU, either a 15 or 2 12s and am amp to best suite them. As for what subs exactly there are so many to choose from. It also depends on how much space you can fit behind there.

I see where did you find that head unit for so cheap? Also, I would have to have a shop install all of my equipment and there are 2 other shops in my area. Auto Essentials and SSP audio. I think they both carry JL audio and Alpine and Diamond audio. but 1000$ installed there I'm afraid I will get the same equipment (500 watts, 12 inch driver, pre fab box etc..) just in a different brand

do not buy from a shop. I cant stress that enough. Buy online from either the dealers themselves or from reputable online stores. $1000 for a sub stage goes a long way. Also why do you need an audio shop to install it?

what are some reputable online stores? I need it installed in an audio shop because I nor anyone I know, knows how to install a system.

alright well thanks for all the help I might just stick with what I got or maybe get a PR 1.1000 watt amp for 30 dollars more because I would rather not deal with installing it myself.

installing is not hard at all. but if your so against it you could just buy all of your stuff online then have someone install it.

Hit up the classifeds here as well. Might be some used stuff, but I have had nothing but good luck with stuff off here.

bass boost on my amp? Because that is all the way down. doesn't the RVC control the gain, because thats what im talking about... if you look in the pictures its below my steering wheel.

that's just a gain adjustment

dont use it like a volume knob
