MINI Cooper S First build Memphis Car Audio (PICS)

I don't know what the expectations were, but after looking over the specs of the equipment...for 500W that setup should have been pretty solid.

It is not ad equipment for a first system. Really good actually, but if he listened to what people told him, he'd be much better off. And the only shop I would take my car to, would be a shop that I can't afford at this stage in my life. But then, I've learned so much in the past two years that I want to do everything myself now!

Dude dont worry about your purchase, I think its a good deal. I just went and put some money down on a memphis set up. I know I paid alittle bit more money but I support local business because I work for a local business, plus anything goes wrong take it back there and they got to deal with it. But my advice I would have asked for a custom box. But hey you only had a grand to work with. Plus just remember you get what you pay for! Hope you like your memphis setup I know im going to like mine! Let me know what you think of it.

I couldn't install a big system in my car if my life depended on it. I am no idiot and am talented in many other areas, actually have a masters in biology, but just removing trim pieces without breaking them or scratching the crap out of my interior, it just isn't going to happen. I read about this stuff for hours a day when possible and am totally up on specs and prices and all of that, but actually climbling in my trunk or removing a seat, or god forbid running all the power wires, NO FREAKIN WAY! Some of us just don't have that ability and turn to local shops. Also, I see many threads on here that took months to build where if you know someone or a shop and pay them, it gets done right away, as in, a few days because they are being paid to do it while I work. Fiberglass? NO way in hell. I am doing a major upgrade on my system, and even buying the stuff online will cost me around 5k, but I live in Indianapolis and I don't see too many people on this forum that live here that can help so what do I do? I have no choise but to go to a shop. Now sometimes I can barter since I am a musician and can hook people up with bands and such, but otherwise it's the shop or the risk of me making the only car that I have burn to the ground or fall apart because I screwed it up. I pm'ed a guy on here for advice and got no response because aparently he is too cool to help others out, so once again, back to the shop. Just my rant!!

Everything can be done yourself, no matter how hard it sounds at first.

If youre dead set of paying someone to do the work for you, there are TONS of members on this forum, and lots of other forums, that will GLADLY install car audio in any car, for ALOT LESS than a shop charges, with work just as good if not better, and you can ask ot learn along the way and have them kinda tell you what htere doing and such.

Just make an ad, people are always looking to take your money lol
