I have a huge problem with "remembering" 9/11

im not downing sport players at all. im just merely putting one on one side and one on another comparing people to people. lifesavers vs. entertainers.

hell when i was playing ball all i could think about was ****, if im good enuff at this i could make a living. and dont say not everybody thinks like that cause they do. love or money? or the love of the money?

these guys and gals are the only ones, bar none, that go out to help people without thinking of money. all im saying /me posting in this thread

he did what he could, he opened up the superdome as shelter for the people who couldn't afford to leave. how come it took so long for federal aid to arrive? federal agencies where in new york shortly after the attacks happened.

nagan hasnt done shit. let alone hes a douchebag that disrespected the whole state of new york and those who have helped after 9/11 calling ground zero "a hole in the earth"

I think if someone had a gun to my head and said"get out of town or i am going to kill you and ur family,I dont think I would just sit around and think hmmm "i dont have the money to go anywhere" hmmm "is that thing really loaded,maybe I should stick around and find out" hmmm "well I have a couple of days maybe this killer will chang his mind and go somewhere else" If it came down to this for me my family would have been taking the 10 toe express straight out of town and yes sleeping on the side of the road if need be.

all they had to do was go ABOVE ground lol. NO was damaged by WATER, not winds.

it's simple economics. how many 7'1 350 pounders are out there that can do what shaq does? now how many firefighters are out there? shaq's demand is way up so he can demand that type of money

i know. my point is it's economics, you know what that is right? how many firefighters are there in the US? now how many 7 foot ceneters are there in the nba? i'm just saying more people have the skills to be a firefighter then be an nba center, so therfore the law of supply and demand says shaq will make more money. i never endorsed it, or said it was right.

i understand what OP is saying, and for the most part I agree.

i.e How big of a deal is the OK City bombing now a days? not big at all. Maybe in that region, but I haven't heard anything about it, aside from the anniversary of the day it happened each year. That was 10 years ago(off the top of my head)

do you think in 5 years this 9/11 stuff will die down? i highly doubt it.

It's not the fact that people are sad about it that pisses me off, it's the way the media abuses it that pisses me off. Stop shoving it down my throat, it just makes me care about it less, because instead of appreciating it more, it makes it more annoying.

There have been COUNTLESS movies made about 9/11 in the past few years, let alone the last year. I think 2 have been in theatres. I have not seen a SINGLE movie about OK City bombing in theatres. Does that mean that 9/11 was more important than WTC?
