I have a huge problem with "remembering" 9/11

for the second time.......rescue is not the "responsibility" of the federal government
anybody rescued should be charged for the helicopter usage after they get back on their feet.......why should we have to pay for their stupidity
you have got to be kidding me. i hope next time you get shot, in a car wreck, or in a terroist attack, they say it's not our problem. you do realize a lot of lives could've been saved if they would've evacuated the 2nd tower, so they shouldn't be helped?

begin rant-

ever since 9/11 every city worker that puts there life on the line has been called a hero. are they hero's. absolutely. everyone talks how they've donated to there fundraiser's and shit like that. and that is great.

but yet....

the government sits around and calls them heroes too. which is also great to see then doing. but then they turn around cut there pay, give them less and less benefits and make them work more and more and more hours.

i was watching the rams game on tv and they showed the pre-game with all the police, firemen, and soliders on the field. which is again cool. but... then they make these "heros" making **** near minium wage, clear the field for people making millions and millions of dollars. is it the football players fault they make that kind of money? no.

just pointing out the fact-

if you want to make the policemen, firemen, and solider's feel like heroes.

give them some ****** money to make there life's easier

/rant dont care if i get flammed or questioned just had to get it off my chest and no one else is around //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I agree.

first off......getting shot....in a car wreck and in a terrorist attack is 3 way different things........people are employeed for the specific task of getting me help in the first 2 situations.....you may have heard of them....they're called EMT's

there are also people hired to help people in the event of an emergency......the state and local governments.......

it's simple economics. not many people can throw a football like peyton manning so his demand is higher then a firefighter

it just goes to show you how much people in this country have their priorities fucked up....it's the same with acting and actors......apparently they need 30 million to be in a movie......

it's simple economics. how many 7'1 350 pounders are out there that can do what shaq does? now how many firefighters are out there? shaq's demand is way up so he can demand that type of money
i agree 100%......it just puzzles me how we, as americans, have our demands so bass ackwards

I think if someone had a gun to my head and said"get out of town or i am going to kill you and ur family,I dont think I would just sit around and think hmmm "i dont have the money to go anywhere" hmmm "is that thing really loaded, maybe I should stick around and find out" hmmm "well I have a couple of days maybe this killer will chang his mind and go somewhere else" If it came down to this for me my family would have been taking the 10 toe express straight out of town and yes sleeping on the side of the road if need be.
