I have a huge problem with "remembering" 9/11

I drove past the pentagon about a month after it happened on my way to pa for a funeral......it was definately hit

the reason so many people were killed from katrina is because alot of them were too stupid to leave before a catagory 4 hurricane came ashore, and it's not the federal governments responsibility to evacuate them or even help with the aftermath.....it's what people want them to do because they're too lazy to do it for themselves........hundreds of them left the area and got jobs and made new lives elsewhere while others were displaced and just took their crap with them

it's the responsibility of local and state governments to declare states of emergency, evacuate people and deal with the aftermath.....i know...i work for one

however with 911....the response was so quick because in new york alone there are thousands of firemen, police officers and rescue personel.....and clean up took months and it was an isolated area they had to deal with

i live in a coastal community not below sea level, and if i knew there was a catagory 4 or 5 hurricane coming i would leave......yes...walking if i had to....

how come rescue was so quick to arrive to ground zero, bush was in new york the same day, all the ruble has been cleaned, and they were really on the ball with the rescue mission, but in new orleans, they new ahead of time a hurricane was coming and there was gonna be disaster, but yet the rescue mission was so ****ed?
this was a sensless act and should be remembered, things like peral harbor that jntar mentioned, and the hollacaust etc. it's a sensless act that shouldn't have happened

because the STATE has to ASK for national support. AKA: That stupid ****ing mayor that the reelected in LA, had to ASK bush to supply reinforcement. Juliani did this WHEN IT HAPPENED, Nagen waited. They were stopping army trucks and humvees on highway 49 south going to the mississippi coast to help, as well as going to new orleans to help, but the state wouldnt allow help. THAT is why.

lets see, in 3 days....24 hours in a day....minus sleep......minus resting......3 mph walking speed average........about 100+ miles....plenty far enough to get inland away from the storm surge

he did what he could, he opened up the superdome as shelter for the people who couldn't afford to leave. how come it took so long for federal aid to arrive? federal agencies where in new york shortly after the attacks happened.
