I remember hearing of those orgs. also. I had the $200-$300 dollar Kenwoods though. I believe they were like 2001's and 5001's with the knobs.

I voted 1980-1985 only because thats as far back as your poll went.
Im actually from the 1970's, where Kraco and Sparkomatic were the top names in power boosters, and Jim Rockford hadnt even thought about making his auto amps yet.

Oh God,I remember Kraco and sparkomatic LOL!They ******...I can say that I took a kraco amp and did what we used to call a negative feedback...you take the output of the amp of one channel and refeed it to the input of the other channel and I can say it put out some major power...basically I was feeding the input with higher voltage...now they have head units that put out higher voltages...anyway,I DID have a place to vote for the really old school...it was on the bottom of the four...it says anything below 1980..really oldschool

no. been to many shows its a waste of time and money, when you can get the same (or better) sound out of 4 speakerspeople like YOU need to leave the hobby asap you are ruining it for all those who honestly want good sound, not "omg, my trebbblllezzz is soo loud". im not sure if anyone knows the guy who was helping alot of people on ecoustics a few years back named glasswolf. he has his own website now i think. he has a pair of old cerwin vega 12" subs getting about 200w rms each in a hatchback and hes hittin 151 something on the ac, prob around 145-147 on the tl

With the low xmax and low power handling of most old school stuff, having a **** load of drivers was probably the only way to move air, back in the day that is.

Every guy Ive talked to from the old school era, says they still sounded good doing it too!

Oh and that ebay seller does have some really nice ****. Gold RF WTF!!!!!!!

I have heard some bad things about his products, IDK.

yeah , thats why he has a feedback of over 1400, and he warrentied an amp that ive had for over a year.... hes got my vote...

some people dont like him because he has bought everything off of ebay under a different name... so what i say!!! hes running a biz and has to search and search all fricken day to find the stuff... and then prays that he makes a 100 or 2 to be worth it

i have an old alpine cda 7940 "dead head" that i still use but i wish it would play burned cd's
