Time to put your thinking caps on.

I'll be getting my '49 Chrysler back from repainting in a couple of weeks. I currently have a 4 channel am fm "cigarett pack" am fm stereo so I could keep the original facing.

Need recommendations for a better quality am fm bluetooth stereo (so I can connect to my phone) to mount in the glovebox that has a remote control.

That sounds like an exciting project! While I can't provide specific product recommendations, I can suggest looking for a Bluetooth car stereo with features like AM/FM support, remote control, and compact dimensions that fit your glovebox. Brands like Pioneer, Kenwood, and Alpine often have models that meet these criteria.
