holy crap, long post
Let's just forget anything before the flood (lets assume it was 4,400 years ago..2,400 BC) From that time, humans would have to have reproduced, traveled, settled and found ways to survive. Everyone with me so far? From those few people, who HAD TO BE a "mixture" of every trait, all the races would have had to MICROEVOLVE into black, white, hispanic, asian, etc..
Not only that but in the 2400 years between Christ and Noah, the population would have to have moved and expanded to all reaches of Europe, Asia, and Africa, go through micro-evolution into their adapted forms (black in africa, whites in europe, asians in asia, and whatever middle easterners are called.), and then set up civilizations.
It is impossible for those micro evolutions to occur between the 2,400 years before Christ came along, much less by now.
Stealing something....death, stealing something....death. Hmmm. I don't see why you'd compare apples with oranges. No offense to you personally, but that's the believer's cop-out. If I steal something, I don't do it because it was "it's time to be stolen".
Assuming your view is correct; I don't disagree with it. But, "It was their time to go" isn't a viable answer; or atleast an unexceptable one to me. If that's all the answer you need, more power to ya.The scripture states that not even a sparrow falls to the ground without the Lord's say-so. So, the ONLY way those people died is if the Lord allowed it.
My point was that if there is no Adam and Eve story. No eating the forbidden fruit. There would be no Christianity, because there would be no Jesus. There would be no need for a Saviour. You need to dig a little deeper //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifThe people of the bible never practiced Christianity //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
They simply obeyed the Lord or they didn't. Christianity IMO is not what the bible is talking about whatsoever
Nah, my point for that post was to try to say that Christianity is false IMO.My point was that if there is no Adam and Eve story. No eating the forbidden fruit. To clarify just a bit, the Bible talks about an "age of accountability" or "age of understanding" (depending on your translation) that refers to the point in a person's life that you are capable of understanding greater truths, specifically the Gospel message. In Jewish tradition this age was 12 or 13 (depending on time and tribe) and coincided with entering adulthood. The context of the text however is not age specific. Different people understand at different ages. Take for example a mentally handicaped individual who, though he is 35, has the understanding of a 10 year old. Only God knows the heart, and only He can judge who has understood to the point of accepting or rejecting (ignoring being the same as rejecting) the truth. All the children 12 and under that died will have white robes and golden crowns waiting on them in God's kingdom. Actually that could've been a blessing in disguise.
A stark reminder of Proverbs 27:1. Tomorrow is promised to no man.And if anything that should serve as an example to you unbelievers that death can come at anytime. There is know way those people knew when the woke up that they'd die that day. But those of them that were saved, they are most definately in a better place. But those that weren't....well, the choice they made will have eternal consequences.
Those that worship the Lord Jesus and follow him don't have to fear death, and shouldn't.
I thank The Most High for Jesus...
Nah, my point for that post was to try to say that Christianity is false IMO.
What did people before Christ practice?
And the people that call themselves Jews in modern day Israel, they practice Judaism, Judah-ism. What did the ancient Hebrews practice before the birth of Judah? And btw, the Hebrews NEVER followed that garbage called Judaism. Nor is it found in the bible.
IMO there is no way in hell the 'founding fathers' of this country were 'christians', if christian is supposed to mean what this country leads people to believe.
Having slaves, murdering Indians to acquire land, and some of the Satanic practices that they were involved in.
2 Corinthians 11:3- But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
11:4- For if the that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
It's so so simple to just do with Jesus asked us to do, but ignorant men would rather add and take away from what Jesus laid out for us to follow, label it, and start something that is not in alignment with what the Lord said.
ex: Baptist, Catholic, Presbyterian, Methodist, etc.
There are so so many branches of 'Christianity', and most of them differ from each other. So which one is correct? Which should we follow? Which would Jesus want us to follow?
Well IMO the answer to the first 2 questions is NONE, but the answer to the 3rd question is THE WORD THAT HE LEFT FOR US TO FOLLOW THAT IS IN THE BIBLE. And pray to Him for edification, and understanding.
SIMPLE AS CAN BE!!!!
This country has painted their own version of Jesus into the minds of many of it's inhabitants (in the literal sense aswell).
Jesus supposedly loves everybody, everybody is supposedly created equal, Jesus is supposed to be some soft God that shys away from war and only preaches peace, the list goes on and on.
Believe that he is, believe that he died for your sins, ask him for understanding, believe that he is able to give that to you, and you'll have it. You don't need ANYBODY, there is nobody standing in between you and God, so don't let these false pastors trick you into thinking that you need them, and that you must give to them to get something from God. Trust, they WILL get their reward, and I wouldn't want to be in their shoes when they get it...
Amen to that! Not only couldn't I have said it better myself, but it adds a great deal of clarity to your previous post.Well, I wasn't meaning that we shouldn't go to church. I meant not to follow their religious practices that aren't in alignment with what's in the scripture.
Because I don't think that just because you've been brought up to do things slightly different than a Baptist if your a Methodist, doesn't mean that Jesus will reject you. Because it seems that they have the most important thing in common. That Jesus is the Son of God, he died for our sins, and that he is the only way to salvation.
But on another note, it would help if people would stop depending on their pastors to teach them EVERYTHING, and actually open the book and read for themselves, praying and asking the Lord to reveal to them what he would have them to understand. That would also help people to recognize if they're being lead to believe something contrary to what the scripture states.
Very good conversation brother! I enjoy your posts. It seems that we've scared away the unbelievers, lol.
