Not backing Osiris in anyway, I only glanced at his "facts" so I have no comment on them but looking into and desecting Genesis should be important to anyone who is interested in theology, as I think Osiris is. Not only is Genesis the most amazing and extraordinary Book of the Bible IMO but most importantly it provides the foundation to many religions. Also, Christianity depends o much on these two characters, Adam and Eve, without them, Christianity would not exist.

I've gotta agree with that. You can't call Adam and Eve "irrelevent issues" considering they are basic foundation of Christianity; God created man [and women] in his own image. If you take away Adam and Eve, then you not only need to re-write the Bible, but also come up with a new "story" of how we (people) came into existence related to your faith......which would require a total re-engineering of your beliefs. You'd also need to re-engineer how God gave man free-will. Plus, without Adam and Eve there would be no "original sin" that man bears, which is another fundamental building block of the faith

Yes, but you use it to satify your own presupposition. i.e most Christians believe that the Bible is accurate before they even read the Bible because this is what they are told to do. And clearly, you can not make a good judgement call when you already hold the Bible to a higher authority. I on the other hand, hold everything to the same standard. I'm fortunate in a way, that I was not raised any particular religion, so that I can formulate my own opinion or "truth" by being consistant in my research and evaluations.

If you're objective which I believe society currently seems to lack as people base many things off feelings then regardless of what you are told about something you will determine whether the info is accurate or contradictory. The other problem is people are busy or too lazy to research something. Present day research is difficult because you have the issue where the researcher may think he is objective but chances are that he is allowing his bias to affect his results. So this makes it hard to sort through what is accurate. I believe this problem is creeping into the history books that are used in schools already. This is why I believe that past history may not help us in the future because groups are allowing politics to get behind it preventing the truth from being revealed.

Example of contradicting research:

I was in a psychology class the teacher said that homosexuals with kids, according to research, was more healthy for the child than having a father and mother.

But research that I have heard outside of this said that homosexual couples have more trouble with abusive relationships.

How does my God let my grandmother die? HOw does my God let my Uncle die?

Because it was their time to go. Who are you or anybody to judge God, not knowing the lifestyle that those people chose, not knowing which 'God' they worshiped. God could've very well been exceedingly angry with those people, and decided to kill them. We don't know.

How could God tell the ancient Israelites to go take the land of Israel from the Canaanites?

How could God let every person in the wilderness over the age of I think 21 to die, but let everyone else proceed to the promised land?

How could God have instructed them also to go and slaughter others, including children and cattle?

Wake up. Understand that we have some of the exact same emotions that God has. He can be generous, and he can be angry.

Get your act together, so when he calls you to leave, you'll see his face in peace, and not in anger

6:10- Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

Somewhere else in the scripture it says the men wearing women's clothing is wrong too...

How do you figure that? I think you have your terms confused. There are teachings against same gender ***, abusive ***, beastuality, more then one wife and pedaphilia. He doesn't specify any "rules" for what is shared inside of marriage except to say to be understanding of your spouse.

"Sodomite" as it was used in that verse and others (King James version) was translated from a term used to describe homosexuality in that day, not a form of ***.

Actually there are both literal, word for word translations, and thought by thought translations. Since not all Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic have direct english counterparts several passages had to be translated into what the original text was trying to say. Since we still have people groups that use these languages today, and have many ancient writtings (religious and otherwise) that have taught us a great deal aboout the languages nuances from that time period, we have very accurate translations of what was originally written. Writtiings that Jesus himself denoted as God's words spoken through man.
