hooking up tweeters?

my buddy got some extra tweeters. surface mount . anyway how do i wire them? can i just wire each one in parallel to the closest speaker to it (front door speakers)? theyre 4 ohms though... so that would present a 2 ohm load to the cd player would that present a problem? is that how it is normally done?

No deck that I know of will support a 2 ohm load.

You will have to cap them or hook them up to a crossover so they only play highs.

yeeeeeaaaaa.....they do have a little capacitor built in. that would be to eliminate low frequencies. why would they go boom?

ok that capacitator is a crossover, so you don't need to worry about blowing them by giving them low frequencies, unless you give them too much power. Your problem is going to be giving them power. You could wire them in a series with your front door speakers to 8ohms, but its really going to sound like crap, your hu barely puts out any power to begin with, and with 2 separate speakers wired at 8 ohms its not gonna be getting anything. Really your only option is to buy an amp to power them with, conveniently i have a cheap one for sale //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif i'll let you have it for 35 bucks.
