Hmm is this ok for the sub?

Hey,

I am starting to work through my installation today.

In my amp wiring kit.

https://www.rockvilleaudio.com/rwk4cu/

There is this cable:

25 ft. Frosted Clear/Blue 14 gauge flat speaker wire

View attachment 26555825

This is the sub:

https://www.rockvilleaudio.com/rmw8p/

Is this ok for the sub?

and do I just split the cables into two? For example: blue positive and grey negative?

As all my component speakers and coaxial already come with their own speaker wires.

Thanks

Neil

14AWG to a sub? I have 8AWG running to my sub, that's how I blew it up! Just sayin'! ;-)

John Kuthe...

14ga is fine unless u have more than like 2k watts,, I used to use 10ga wire (cause I worked at shop and everything was free) but I don't see any difference especially is wire is less than 10 ft long,, honestly if u have 300-1000 watts and amp is 3 feet from sub 16ga wire is fine..

Hey liar, you blew your sub by clipping it, troll. Quit making up lies and move on with your life. 8 gauge to a sub getting a few 100 to 500 watts is overkill.

OP, don't pay attention to this clown. His replies are nothing than BS and lately it's been lies to confuse other new members. Karma has the best of him.

Apologies for my dumbness. But referring to my wire above. Is the blue positive and the grey negative?
