Hardest hitting sub(s) for ~$130 or under?

Good point.
Do you think 1 type R will be better than the 2 Kenwoods I linked earlier in this thread?
I think so. 1 type-R with like 800wrms and you'll be set.

I bought one of those Kenwoods about 2 months ago for $25 new. I only powered it off of my home theater receiver, but it sounded good for the amount of power it was getting.

Ok so lemme get this straight....Spend 130 on the sub and buy an amp AND enclosure. with 70 bucks?.........Save your money up......You still got wiring....You could probally slide with 10 gauge once u buy your 30 dollar amp

Agreed 100%

PG RSd12D - $130 shipped from onlinecarstereo.com... can take a ton more power than rated (1000-1500w rms is not uncommon).

Amp - something that is capable of about 800-1200w RMS at 2 ohms. Hifonics BXi1606D - around 1000W RMS at 2 Ohms - $265 shipped from onlinecarstereo.
