im thinking about selling/trading my 750.1 for one of those pretty sae-1000d's and getting rid of my oem for either a

TC-3k 12 or 15

FI Q or BL 15 or 18.

im leaning towards the FI BL 15 though.

either would be dual 2 wired to one ohm getting the 1kw.

im looking for SPL with just enough SQ for daily listening.

input/suggestions?

after browsing around...

i could get another tc1k 8 and put em both down to 1 ohm. but the lack of cone area makes me not want to...

then theres always the IDMAX, which ive always wanted but i dont think would get loud enough for me.

price between the FI Q and the BL is the same. but would the BL laugh at the 1kw id be giving it?

same with the tc3k. i see peeps feeding them 1500-2kw with no problems. so my power probably wouldnt be enough to get it to its full potential.

I put a 12" BL fully loaded in my friends car. We are giving it 1600 watts and it is doing great. at 1000 it would hit pretty good in my opionion but it wants more then that it seems. The tc-3000 needs more then 1000wrms according to their support team.

thats what i figured.

so thatll leave me with the IDMax 12 and the Q 15", but im leaning towards the Q.

anyone else have any suggestions?

The SAE-1000D is a kickass amp, I have one and love it. Its build is topnotch and it never seems to get more than lukewarm to the touch. You'll be very happy with it. I have also heard that it's rated very conservatively on the power side.

welp , ive been pondering.

concidering im trying to not put out any more monies into my audio set-up , i think im going to grab another tc1k 8 dvc and throw it in a ported box off the sae-1000d, if my zx750.1 will ever sell.

Of the ones mentioned, I vote Q also.

 

Great output and SQ. The BL would benefit more with more power then 1000 the SAE-1000D puts out.

i want louder already.

ill probably get rid of the amp to get the 1000d then ill put it in a ported box and see whats up. ill probably end up still wanting more output then grabbing another 8. a little more power and a little more cone area should get a little bit louder, right?

i shouldnt spend any more money anyways so thats the route im going.

thanks for the suggestions though. when funds allow ill most def grab a Q.
