grab bag sub and amp

The subs are Walmart brand.

The amp isn't that bad though...I'm sure someone here will buy it from you, and you could pick up something else //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Well ti will all be fine for now, at least a month or two. If the amp is good like a couple of you say it is, I suppose I could just upgrade speakers in a month or two then go from there.

Now how exactly do I wire up the speakers to the amp, I thought that was already done but it's clearly not. I also need to know how to wire the amp to the car.

A diagram would be best, I am new at this so even if its really rough looking it would help a ton.

so 150x 4 does that mean it puts out 600amps or is it just 150, I know numbers can be misleading and companies can try to take advantage of that, I also know that fosgate is regarded as a pretty good company from what I have heard.

Listen to the guys. The amp is good.

I saw one go on ebay for around $160shipped

Amp is 600 Watts RMS power.

It will put out 150Watts to each channel at 2ohm.

If you bridge channels 1 and 2 to a sub at 4ohm then it will see 300W rms

Same with Channels 3 and 4.....

I may have gave you the wrong impression, not really interested in selling. I just said grab bag because my friend said I could have it for thirty dollars if it still worked, and because even though it's now in my room, I have no clue what its made of. I don't think its the amp your thinking of it has a oval on the top but whatever was there if anything ever there, isn't there now. I'll post pics later.
I found some more out last night, found some other people on the web who from the sounds of it had the same exact box and speakers and where also trying to find a brand, so that leads me to believe my friends friend ( I hate saying that), didn't actually build anything he just hooked up the amp.

Anyone know exactly how I need to hook up the amp with the 4 channel lines?
you didnt give the wrong impression. usually around here when someone has something fairly decent but they dont realize it people try and buy it off them for cheap.... the amp is pretty good but not sure that it will drive the subs all that great. it would make for a pretty good amp to use on a component set though.

One more thing I just took off the leds or cathodes whatever you want to call them, because I don't think they are actually leds, anyways the plexiglass is off right now. I was thinking now would be a good time to clean it up, its a little bit scratched and dirty looking. I may sound really dumb here so beware but is there any way to buff it. I tried cleaning it with windex but it still leaves some stuff on there, not just scratches but some "stuff" its almost like a film.

I guess that wasn't really the last thing because i just thought of my real last thing, I plan on getting new speakers if the amp is good and the speakers are crap which from the sounds of it they will be. I also want to redo the box and put black felt on it instead of the current grey so it matches my trunk. Is it worth doing that or should I build my own box. I know every speaker should ideally have a box designed just for it because every speaker is different.

You got a hell of a deal! That amp will do more than 600w...

Like others have said the subs are cheap, but I'm sure they'll be okay for now.

Since it seems pretty apparent the subs I have now are, well in all likely hood pretty crappy, any suggestion for replacements. Most I am willing to spend is 200, 250 if there is a significant difference. That's taking into account I will probably use the same box for now.

I was looking at these

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_113W2512/Kenwood-KFC-W2512.html?showAll=N&tp=111

They are only 38 a piece on another site, which is pretty low priced and they look good on paper, at least I think so.

I know that some subs sound good ported and others don't. Is there something I can look for to tell which ones sound good ported, or is it just something you have to try or hear from someone else who has tried it?

Not looking to sell the amp

Hooked everything up and was great...for a day. Pretty sure the subs voice coils are toast, neither of them respond at all anymore. I went to get my oil changed, they where working, when I got the car back they where no longer working. I am sure they thought it would be great fun to blast subs that are probably not recommended for anywhere near 600watts.

Looking to get new subs, keep the enclosure for now, will make a custom enclosure later. What should I get, looking at a pretty cheap budget now 100 dollars max, yes I know that's but the whole point of this was subs on a budget.

was lookign at:
