Good first sub(s)?

Im getting my License around the end of November. I have a '95 Ford Escort LX with 60k miles on it.

Im planning on getting a nice sound system but literally know nothing about them. I plan on getting subs/new speakers/the whole 9 yards.

My budget for the subs are >300. Plus I need a box.

What would be good sub(s) to go with?

You could get a billion different responses, try going to each section in the forum and reading the Stickys (the posts that are saved at the top) first. Then you have some idea about what people are saying when they give you a response.

just for a daily driver i would go a audioque sdc-2.5 15". i believe they are $159. they are rated for 600 watts rms, i had a sdc12 in my wifes car and it was taking 1100rms like a champ...
