Garbage Can sub box.... I need help

Mine only needs to be like 28" long to get my 6 cubes, that one was for a home audio build tuned @ 20 hz

Acoustic properties?? Sonotubes have been used for SPL and home audio for years, aparently they work great.
All Im asking for is help with the math and some port opinions for the volume and tune i want..

Did you know, i can two sheets of "MDF" for like 45 bucks? Your wasting time building this thing....

Radius^2 x Pie x Height = internal volume....

Then just figure out what tuning you want, find the port displacement, subtract it from internal volume, check tuning again... repeat...

Thats gives you the number in cubic inches right?? Divide that number by 1728 for internal volume??

I get 11.75 X 11.75 X 3.14 X 26 = 11271 / 1728 = 6.52 cubes

I haven yet to find a reputable round port calculator I trust, I remember seeing one specifically for flared ports

Would it be best to do one like 8" port, or a few smaller ones??

Also I dont quite get sonotube ports, do people just port them straight back, doesn it not affect anything that the air is just able to escape out the back and not have a "loading' wall??

If you don't get sontotube ports, then why not just stick to building the easier, and cheaper box made out of MDF?

Still waiting on some port length options and help

Undeciuded on going with one big like 10" flared port or 2 smaller ports.

Baffle is cut and glued, just waiting on my delivery guy for my mat and resin right now
