ok i just got my new Memphis mc300 amp, and my new RE 6.5 comps!!!I DO NOT WANT TO BLOW THEM!!!!!my ? is if i turn my HU up 75% and raise the gain till i hear a lil distortion then turn it back a smidge ...my

RE's should be fine right?????cause i dont run my stereo unless its as loud as i can handle ..so are my RE "s gonna be fine????please help, i dont wanna blow the baddist speakers ive ever owned!!!!!

That's a really bad way to set your gain. Do you have a DMM?? If so, follow the tutorial, and if it sounds like that setting is too high for them, then back it down some. But don't do it all by ear.

so basically i should take it to the shop?????

If you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself, then by all means take it to a competent shop (i.e. not best buy or circut city, and not the local "flee market" shop). But it is something you could handle on your own if you chose to try.
