Big Difference

I'm thinking of getting one of these two amps to power my speakers:

GM-6000F:

GM-4000F:

My question is, how big of a difference would there be between the two? My speakers are 4 ohm and rated at 50w RMS. The GM-6000F will cost me around $150, but I can get the 4000F for less than $100. Would both of them be a big improvement over running them off the head unit, or would the 4000F not be worth it?

you will also want to realize that both of those are most likely over rated a bit. pioneer has some good stuff, but i would go with the higher RMS if you have the extra cash. you will get much louder without clipping i think.

but if you are short on cash, the "35x4" will still be a nigh\day difference from HU. seriously.. espically at 50% volume + (if you have some good components that is)

I don't have components, I have 6 1/2" and 6"x9" coaxials. I'm probably be upgrading to components around Christmas, however. Should I wait until then to get an amp, or will it also make a big improvement in sound for my coax's?

You'll still see improvements with your co-axials. But if around Xmas you'll be able to afford a little better amp, then I'd just wait.

Look into a 4 channel alpine amp. They arent expensive online. Its better to spend the adequite money and get a good amp.
