Fiberglass ranger door pods.

**** that's a lot of bondo lol. I gotta question. Are those pods sealed? Doesn't look like much airspace in there at all. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Hrrrmmm....
The stretch job is what really hurt you. You should have used a bit stronger material and secured it properly with staples or CA glue. I would have used fleece or at least a t-shirt type of cloth.
Mold fabric doesn't really need to be strong. It's just there for the shape, and to give you something to laminate the glass to. T shirt or grill cloth is fine, how ever his stretching leaves a lot to be desired. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

mediocre at best. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

if your stretch job was better, you could have just cut a hole in the back side of the pod, put some glass up on the inside of it instead of the back, then you would be all set for an IB install..

but are you trying to seal those door pods?

because focal recommends 30L of sealed airspace with an F3 of 74hz for the 165 A1 set. just FYI i am quite positive that there is nowhere near that much space in there.

3 layers of fiberglass. And I've seen multiple install's on fiberglassforums.com that use that much bondo. So idk what to tell ya. Haha. And to Brokeitagain, your honestly judging what it looks like now to what it will look like when it's done? You just need to GTFO if that's all you've got to say because obviously you don't know there is a little process called "sanding" after all this shit has dried. Please tell me you knew that.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif I'm not trying to be a dick, but don't post shit like that if you don't even know what you're talking about.
You only used 3 layers of glass? Those are going to be some very weak door pods.

I am certainly glad that I am not paying for them...

Bah , I have made pods with three layers that you could park a car on. Three layers of 17oz stitched biaxial is a chit ton stronger than three layers of 3oz long strand. Three layers of what, and what weight is what should be at question?

Very true, but judging by his pictures I would assume the later.

Finally got these things done. And thanks for all the comments assjockies. This is the only picture I've got because we had to go to work right after we got them put in so no time for pictures. Enjoy.

And btw, that's not me holding that fiberglass mold, but a buddy of mine and he thought it was funny as hell. Haha. Good job on whoever photochopped it.
