Just cut the hole bigger to pull the elbow flush. Don't go to a 2" port.

no need for a 2" port... thanks vic for the help. was a pain in the *** but got it done.

That looks real good. You can use some glass to blend it in if it needs it.

there is min opening around the face. i think once the sealant goes in it will be fine. i tried to trim little by little til it fit.

im almost ready for primer.... paint came in the other day just waiting on a few more things to come in but overall the box is waiting to be spot sanded then primed.

here is work from last night. sanded down what was needing sanding and then trimmed the speaker ring(have a few spots to touch up) and then laid down some spot putty....once the spot putty is sanded thing is ready for primer.

thanks.... i take my time but i also kick myself in the rear because it takes me forever to get it done lol.

small update...... primer goes on this weekend. was going to do it last weekend but i cleaned out the garage as well as started another build lol
