Ok... idk your budget but an 12ev3, in a diy Enclosure and a S1-850 amp is a fairly inexpensive decent bass option IMO.Hey Shredder, I appreciate all the info, but it looks way outta my budge range, I may just keep this bookmarked and come back once I've saved enough
agreed. the sub is 160 and the amp is on sale for $100Ok... idk your budget but an 12ev3, in a diy Enclosure and a S1-850 amp is a fairly inexpensive decent bass option IMO.
Pretty inexpensive for sure.... even more if the sub is ordered from CAB as a B stock I believe.agreed. the sub is 160 and the amp is on sale for $100
If Op is really trying to save a dollar or two there's other options for sure...amazon has em for a shade less than 140
Outstanding suggestion.dude, just get a SSA 12 in a good box and run a wolfram or soundqubed amp to it and youll be plenty pleased
Nice idea too.OP, you can also do this
https://store.soundsolutionsaudio.com/products/sound-qubed-hds212-12-inch-subwoofer.html for $110
and that soundqubed S1 850 watt mono for $100.
Build your box and boom, done. Less than 300 invested and itll hit for sure
( there ya go @denim )
So I've totally disregarded the DS16s after a little research, but I am totally brand new to all this, so pardon my ignorance - but you guys are recommending just the single 12" sundown with the S1-850? I could get a box built I'm sure, should I go sealed, vented, or bandpass? Should I go for a system with individual parts picked? Do prebuilt systems just not preform as well or are they overpriced?agreed. the sub is 160 and the amp is on sale for $100
