turn it down, put slite pressure on the dust cap, if it stops, then the dustcap has come unglued go to wal mart and get some clear silicone spread some all the way around the edge let it dry then pound it

Thanks for the input guys, but I'm gonna wait for the maker to reply to me. I'm pretty sure he will help me because I have no experience with doing this kind of stuff I'm still in the beginner stage so I'd rather not F things up.

EDIT: It is a really great sub (especially for a 10") made by well known person on this forum, but when I turn it up that noise concerns me.

It's most likely the spyder from the woofer. It's probably come off of the basket due to distortion. Get some CA glue at a hobby store locally and glue the outer rim of the spyder back down. It's happened on my mtx 9500 before, and is EASILY fixable. Might look into a line driver if you're gettin distortion on the sub.

Just take the sub out of the box and see if that spyder has come up. I really think that could be the issue.

ohh.. I haven't looked at the sub since I shot the vid. So I'm gonna have to wait till tomorrow. yeah, just check the dustcap, and check the spider to see if it didn't accidently came unglue from the landing.

What exactly does a line driver do? Is it necessary if I already have an EQ, but its an old school indash EQ from Kenwood.

it could be that your voice coil is starting to separate from the cone, thats how mine sounded when the glue from the voice coil to cone started giving out.
