Alex's Silverado

I tried everything to get voltage to increase. I bought the 3 amp rectifier and tried it with both wires. Nothing changed my charging voltage, and I'm pissed

It's still missing the really deep lows, so I'm going to try and add port length while reducing port area.

Although, I think it'll still pull a decent hairtrick.

More info in my feels thread though

Not sure what enclosure calc you're using but to the eye (only saw a few pics) that port tuning seems very high since I only saw baffle thickness as port length. That works for 4th orders but only flat walls I've ever seen like that are 50Hz+ burp vehicles....

If you don't mind what are finished box specs: net volume, tuning, port area?

A diode is a diode you just bought one that could handle 3 amps, not needed as it is voltage sensingway less than a amp but what ever, something maybe not right with alt or wiring ? my stock alt sits around 14.2 14.6 with no diode and 14.8-15.2 with diode. What is your stock alt doing ? You could swap alts and put diode on stock alt wired to your stereo only and see if voltage goes up ?

I've changed the port a lot since the pictures. Off the top of my head, I forget the specs

At this point, I'm convinced it's the rectifier. Stock alt goes between 12.9 and 14.8. Randomly changes a lot because it's PCM controlled

Xs power vcm

Yea but if he paid some outragish money for his singer alt like $700+ he shouldn't need to buy a Xs power vcm.
He wants to raise the voltage from regulators stock settings.

The xs vcm has a pcm emulator.

Its that or pay singer 200$+ for a ext reg and wiring pre-wired.

I personally wouldnt use it since i could always just put in a stock alt to help boost amperage to compensate the extra voltage i would get from a diode or vcm.
so have you talked to singer about it and expressed your inability to change charging voltage? id hope they could offer some cheaper alternative. $750 for an alternator is pretty steep..
I'll text @mylows10; right now. He had previously suggested a bank of maxwell caps, but I don't want to spend that much money to fix this problem that shouldn't be a problem

You still would need to charge at a higher voltage for max caps

Yeah, $750........
Don't u have this singer 370 only running the audio side using dc power dual alt bracket and wiring harness? Because if that's the case no the truck pvc isn't the problem it's the type of regulator used in the alternator.

What's your stock alt charging at?
