PCM regulated voltage..Sorry, pics aren't fantastic and I haven't shot a video yet.

Pictures don't really show how big this is, lol

Not super pretty, so I'm thinking about making a beauty panel inside the bed

I installed the diode for my alternator today and it didn't change my voltage at all. Even with the system off and batteries charged, it sits at 13.6-13.7v. Doesn't mater if it's warm or cold. I can't figure out why that is. Hep would be appreciated
Also, I'll be adding length to my port tomorrow. It's really loud in the high 30's, but has no lows, haha
Not on his stereo Alt ? separate from stock alt or atleast thats what I thought he said he did ? I second alt fed by original stock harness or did wire it on its own ? only needs one wire to an ignition hot source and then diode on the wire that goes to alt output post.PCM regulated voltage..
You need a external regulator.

No alternator is self regulated without getting some input from an ammeter or battery temps. Not on his stereo Alt ? separate from stock alt or atleast thats what I thought he said he did ? Maybe like the voltage sense wire that we are putting the diode on ? My stock alt is a 4 pin connector and only uses two wires one going to ignition hot source and one to output post and thats stock factory wiring and stock alt keeps my batterys at 14.2 or so and when I switch on the ignition feed two two stereo alts I charge 14.8-15.2 but thats with the diodes. No alternator is self regulated without getting some input from an ammeter or battery temps.

You have a 98 and older no?Maybe like the voltage sense wire that we are putting the diode on ? Ya its a 96.I wasnt sure about his so I told him to hit you up. But if his second alt is a four pin he could do the same as I did ? Its working awesome for me.You have a 98 and older no?
His is a 06 pcm regulated 2 pin system

He will have to change the reg on the alt to a 4 pin reg and he could do it. Or use external reg as you said. You have a 98 and older no?

Even a 4 pin would still need to have the pcm rewired so it can get a line from the ammeter.. Easiest and fastest way is the ext regulator or voltage module. He will have to change the reg on the alt to a 4 pin reg and he could do it. Or use external reg as you said.
I realized that with my alpine hdd 149bt this week also, 1. It doesnt clip at all, 2. The sub vol is actually at 0 when at +15, 3. I was able to turn my gain alot higher also 2/3 seems about the same for me. This was using a dd-1 and cc-1Less lows (because of the enclosure).
On this though, I've got my sub level on +15 out of 15 and the amp gain is about 2/3. Listening volume is at about 25 out of 35 for most songs.
"The other Side" by Jason Derulo on volume 28 is brutal. I can't take the whole song in the driver's seat with the passenger window down. Lows are lacking, but it's strong up top.
I'll sacrifice some upper bass for lows tomorrow and add some port length
you had a FK ton more to go then vs previous settings.I realized that with my alpine hdd 149bt this week also, 1. It doesnt clip at all, 2. The sub vol is actually at 0 when at +15, 3. I was able to turn my gain alot higher also 2/3 seems about the same for me. This was using a dd-1 and cc-1
Set gain by ear (yeah, I know). I have a scope, but didn't feel like fuckin' with it last night out in the cold. How did you set your gain? Are you using an alpine head unit?
Turn the gain down a little and go higher than 25 on the volume.
DamnPCM regulated voltage..
You need a external regulator.

Yeah, completely seperate from stock and has a 2 pin connectorNot on his stereo Alt ? separate from stock alt or atleast thats what I thought he said he did ? I second alt fed by original stock harness or did wire it on its own ? only needs one wire to an ignition hot source and then diode on the wire that goes to alt output post.
Then how does a 2 pin connector work? It just has a hot wire and switched source, right? This confuses meNo alternator is self regulated without getting some input from an ammeter or battery temps.

Ok, I can try turning gain down and headunit volume up more, thanks.I realized that with my alpine hdd 149bt this week also, 1. It doesnt clip at all, 2. The sub vol is actually at 0 when at +15, 3. I was able to turn my gain alot higher also 2/3 seems about the same for me. This was using a dd-1 and cc-1
