60 years in prison for his 10th conviction of driving while intoxicated !!

I could see your argument if they were blowing the smoke into your face, but get real. If you walk into a place that allows smoking then it's your fault. And I'm not saying this as a smoker, I'm saying it as common sense. If you know there's going to be a gunfight on a certain block and you go there when it's supposed to happen, then it's your fault if you get shot. You can avoid the smoking spots, 2nd hand smoke won't kill you. Your weak *** immune system might though.
And FYI, the oldest recorded male, Mr Shigechiyo Izumi, picked up smoking at the age of 70, and died at 120. Did you hear that? The oldest authenticated recorded age was a man who was a SMOKER.

so i shouldnt be able to go out to bars? i should stay outdoors or in a restaurant? because you want your freedom i should lose mine?

i have asthma so it has nothing to do with my immune system

you are definately the smartest person on ca.com, you know everything:rolleyes:

i was on your side until you attacked my right to breathe clean air, now you can die with the rest of the smokers!

when i drink and drive i actually obey the speed limit , unlike when i am sober and drive 5-10 over all the time
this is how i see it:

when smokers stop endangering my life everyday by smoking in public i will stop drinking and driving and endangering their lives

sorry to all you non drinking, non smoking people out there, hopefully when i get in my drunk driving accident i will kill a smoker

****, i need a drink;)
Well, there's drink and driving WHILE under the legal limit. Then there's driving while piss drunk. I think you fall under the first criteria. I hope you stop drinking and driving both for your own good and in respect for the people who share the road.

im gonna agree with cheesemind, at least on this part. that is some ****ed up shit right there.

so you know you're a danger to society, yet dont care? you're hoping you wont kill an innocent person?

some whiff here and there of second hand smoke isnt going to kill you. if you think it will, i think you need to stop driving you're car as its putting out a hell of a lot more carcinogens than a cigarette.

The point is, the property owner, or the business owner, should be the one to decide whether he wants to allow smoking into HIS PROPERTY. You have the choice whether or not to enter his property.
It's not about me wanting my right to smoke inside a bar. It's about the property owner to decide. I mean, if they can tell businesses that they can't allow smoking in their own buildings, then they can tell homeowners that they can't smoke inside their own homes. To me that's overstepping bounds, but then there's people like you who want to tell others how to live their lives.
they're already trying to pass laws banning smoking inside apartments //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif.

pretty shitty if you ask me. i agree with you on letting a business decide what is ok inside their place. i dont smoke tabacco, and as such, i wouldnt enter a restaurant that was a smoking restaurant. im sure the business owner knows that though, and can make a good decision on what he thinks is best for his business.

ok you kids were fun, thanks for playing

i am gonna go pick a fight with a smoker now cause you got me going:)

also gonna do some drinking and driving later so stay away from the green bay area

smoking i will agree on... it should be the building/property owners discression, not the governments.

after that, it is each individuals decision whether or not they want to subject themselves to that.

as for the drinking and driving, i really liked bonesninjas response to that one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif .

its freedom of choice. you have the choice to go to these establishments. if they have a conflict with your beliefs, dont go to them. problem solved.

im sure you could find plenty of places to go and get some french cries and a whineken.

I agree, they are just now starting all that crap here. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif

EXACTLY. If the government now has the rights to tell property owners what they can or can't do on their own property, then they can control us in our own homes, even when we aren't hurting anyone or anything. Just like they passed the internet gaming laws. You can't gamble your own money away on an internet site even though you earned it, because the government says so. You should have the right to do what you want with your money as long as you aren't harming anyone. But people get tricked into supporting "causes" that give the government even more power over our lives. People who support the government telling businesses that they can't allow smoking in their own buildings are secretly giving more power to the government to control people and their property. The more often you give government power over your lives and property, the more it will be abused and that's history.
lol, i always wondered why the hell gambling is illegal. im not even into that shit cause i dont want to lose my money (i have been to a casino about 3 times and only spent about $40 each time), but seriously WTF.

i mean the money hungry govt. of course will want a piece of the money, and since they cant get it, they make it illegal, but couldnt you at least have the online websites paying taxes from the money they make? hell, you dont tax me when i win money at the casino (unless you're suppose to claim it...IDK)

i wonder what he got pulled over for? swerving or just dick cops down there in Taylor... i could blow a .25 and still drive safely but maybe thats just me.

You got it exactly right, it's all about the money. Since the money is going to a company (overseas) that doesn't pay taxes to the US GOVT, they made it illegal. Of course it's still legal to go into any brick and mortar casino inside the United States (they pay taxes to the US GOVT).
The point is, why should the government have any say how we spend our hard earned money? Their only duty is supposedly to the citizens, to protect us, etc. Now they run our lives, and people like (omg, make it so the property owner doesn't allow smoking so I can go in and buy his stuff how I want) help give the government the power to do it.
ahh, i thought these gambling sites were on US land. i can see why they dont like it. hoping instead ill spend the money inside the country rather than outside...then again, thats why i buy online from other states, that way i dont pay taxes...

btw: scooby, i really cant tell if you're ****ing around or being serious. first i think you're serious, then i think you're being sarcastic, then i realize i should give up trying to decipher the post.
