60 years in prison for his 10th conviction of driving while intoxicated !!

anyone know the ratio of sober drivers that kill people in accidents than drunk? i'd bet it's at least 100:1. accidents happen.
DWI= driving WHILE intoxicated. it's a CRIME, not an accident. Accidents too can put people in jail...putting a habitual offender in a place where he is far away from me and the general public is where he needs to be. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

that's a good point hydrastas, but there is no doubt that you can't see as clearly when you are drunk. And there is always a chance that you can pass out. Anyone that has had 10 deweys and keeps at it needs to be thrown in the box for a long while.

That's because (believe it or not) most people understand the risk involved with driving drunk and simply do not do it. By numbers alone the stats would be in favor of your half cocked attempt at defending this.
If I put 1000 skinny people in a buffet room and add 10 fat ones, chances are you will find the skinny people consuming more. It's crazy how numbers can work when you skew them to your benefit.

This irrelevant stat you want to pull out of your *** doesn't negate the fact that it is PROVEN your motor skills and rational thought decrease with alcohol consumption. PERIOD!

Irrelevance is always a good defense strategy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Although...

having to chose. I would much rather be a drunk driver than a sleepy driver. My "close calls" are far worse after not getting enough sleep on the morning drive to work versus getting hammered and driving home.

That, or make it a law if you have an IQ of less than 105 you should be driven around. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif
