$5000 sound deadener challenge

it will mainly help flex if done right....I used 3 layers of raamat on my trailblazers roof, and it doesn't rattle nor flex near as bad as other trailblazers.
thats my point exactly. it will still rattle and flex just not as bad. i think this guy has lost it. deadner is created for a number of reasons and thats why its on the market. why would they make a product that scams people. they make the product for the consumer. hes just mad because maybe he cant make it in the game of selling deadner . too much factors and hes a microscopic germ in the world of automobile insulation.

 
If someone used a German car on this guys challenge he would would be hard pressed to beat them in the rattle dept.....Audi,Mercedes are some of the tightest and rattle free cars ive seen...My Audi is rattle free although ive never been spl tested yet,ime sure its close the numbers he was talking about and with little rattle at all..

 
yeah it does do like 4 layers and it will help alot
Rattles occur between 2 moving parts.

Flexing requires support. Layers just make it heavier and harder to flex. Which is why there is a noticeable difference.

Deadener is just adding mass to sheet metal.

 
obviously he's a douche. He's also has this on going grudge with diyma. I'm sure he loves it now that SS owns it
hes just a cack nose lil bish who is upset. ANT from second skin is a very honest guy VERY HONEST and he him self will go the extra mile to get your satisfaction his product sells it self basicly never dealt with rammat but looks like good shit as well .dynamat is good too just i dont think my dolar streatches to far with them edead is cheap and works after 1405605056156056 layers of it. their are alot of deadners out their. and yes i wouldnt be happy if my car didint have deadner unless the car from the factory is a luxury car with deadner. plain and simple THAT GUY IS AN IDIOT

It's ignorance like this that will help Peter keep his money. Yea, his methodology is crap, but he has a few good points. Rarely does any amateur car audio enthusiast apply "deadener" technically correct or even understand what it does.

Also, sound deadening manufacturers love for you not to know what their products really do and would love for you to believe the laws of physics are different for the automobile. Big cash cow, right there.
