hey everyone im new here i have a question

i have a a soundstream pca1500d amplifier and the guys audio shop told me that the memphis m1 12 will work is this a good combination or should i go a different route with subs

What vehicle and are you willing to sacrifice all of your room. Also, waht is your budget.

It is likely we can get you a multi-sub setup for the same price that will do better

well theres a lot of different routes you can go. depends on how you like your bass, how much money you have, and how much space you have.

you could get a 15" L7 and put it at 2ohm or 2 12" L7s at 1ohm

you could run two 12" alpine type-rs at 2ohm. thats what i have and i love it. you could even do two 15" type rs at 1 ohm.

if you have the cash you cant go wrong with any JL subs.

thats what i'd do.

400 bux can get you the 2 12" alpine type r-s and a enclosure if you order them online. but u gotta see if it will fit.

Yeah, you could do two 12's or two 15's CRX style boxes.

Hype R's would work pretty well I'd say, fit your price range nicely as well.

Two Dual 4ohm Hype R's, yes yes

15's = Sub Up port back

12's = Sub and port back

12's are the most reasonable route and will still get relatively loud

a balance of both and i prefer 2 12s

Another one to consider is AudioQue SDC2.5's

I've heard the HDC's but not the SDC2.5's. Great reviews and look very beefy, so I think they're reasonable to suggest in the situation nonetheless.

Gonna ride the FI boner here. How about 2 FI SSD's with the copper coil option. I've been hearing the sq is pretty surprising with the copper coil option. 2 of those in a sealed box would get decently loud. Only thing is no room to go ported and kind of on the expensive side. Leaves not money for a box. You could build a simple sealed box yourself.

I like grubbs suggestion too. Type r's would be cheap, easy, and decent.
