my god were not talking about roadthunder here people im not even running a 9500 but if i was it would be hitting harder than everyones shit in this forum MTX propaganda, mtx only states researched facts about there products and who are you to say they are lying, the 9500 would beat almost...

    12" Type X

just did a type x in a big box with the M1005 on it (1,000w RMS) it hits hard as hell but, you can tell the sub is starving for more power, i would say minimum of 2 M1005's on it

    Type R question--Type r readers only

    i did a type R in a 4 cube enclosure w/ 1,000w, and was out hitting every w7 i have every heard $150 sub vs. $750 hmmmmm

    Type R guru's ONLY please:

its gonna a sound good, BUT, i would suggest a 34-36 hz tuning to get more out of it, the type R's tend to heat up when they hit those really really low notes, still sound awsome though

Is my box killing my subs?

if you keep blowing subs it very well could be the box, thats is a insane extremley experimental box, im sure only certain woofers will perform well in it, to me it looks like a bandpass with a loaded horn port, plus it looks like your woofers are in a very small sealed box also that could be...

    opinion on this sub?

all i gotta say is its $70, look how nice it looks, wow, but how much money did they spend on the quality of the product? couldn't be a very big percenage of $70 its all painted nice, machined polished, i wouldn't trust it

Whats the Difference Between 12" Alpine / MTX

worked with both, when placed in ported boxes, the type R's have a better low end than the 8000 other than that respond almost the same

What would too small of a box sound like?

a box that is to small will make the sub hit hard on really high bass tones and then just want to distort on low tones, stuf a ton of pollyfill and you should be ok

    Eclipse Titanium users....

not only does my TI hit harder than anyones shit i have heard, but the SQ is just amazing at extremley high SPL levels, defintetly one of the best quality subs i know of, and i cant blow the thing (i try) its suspension is still so stiff you cant even move the sub back and forth, im giving mine...

jl 10' w0 is this a good sub

they are decent, real efficent, only need likw 200w RMS to powerthem up, they do need gigantic boxes though 1 10" in a 2 cubic foot vented tuned to 36 hz has sensitivity gains like a type R 10 in a 1.25 cubic foot vented box- for example, but not at all comparable to eachother

    What box???

dont eer build a box to manufactorers specs, thats the minimal box the sub can be played in if you want reall output from your R's do a big vented box

    Eclipse Titanium users....

imo the TI's are the best sounding drivers that i have ever heard, not just cause im running one, but i've been in this car audio stuff for 7 years, and heard many many different kinds of woofers in many different apps, but thats just my opinion

COMPLAINT!!! / Also Type X questions

type x's are tight, they want power though 1,000rms is the minumum on it and you can jst tell its starving for more, i would say 2,000w RMS to get it moving properly, no sense buying a sub like that if you dont have the power to push it because you could buy a more efficeint sub to fit your...
