my godwere not talking about roadthunder here people
Yeah...thanks for clearing that up captain obvious.
im not even running a 9500 but if i was it would be hitting harder than everyones **** in this forum
//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif 9500's a good sub. But it is far from the loudest sub ever made.
MTX propaganda, mtx only states researched facts about there products and who are you to say they are lying,
//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/hilarious.gif.02a037aad04aa96f19982b298a3d70a8.gif
I never said they were "lying". They just don't give you the whole story.
The 10W7 vs. 9510 comparison is a total crock. 99% of the "parameters" they use are totally meaningless. Only relevent info they gave to performance was Xmax, and even then they ignored Sd to determine which has more overall displacement (which is what
really matters). Ever wonder why they only compared the 10's and not the 12's or 15's (and 13.5)? Because JL scales their specs, and MTX doesn't. JL would have "won" the comparison in the larger sizes using MTX's own comparison parameters.
the 9500 would beat almost every woofer in a durability test, abuse test, and SPL test
//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
And you know this because you have compared the 9500 to every sub on the market, correct? Or no...you're just spewing uninformed and uneducated MTX propoganda that you read on their website. They put that info on their website to confuse young impressionable minds such as yourself.
As to the SPL test;
http://www.icixsound.com/vb/article.php?a=12
Avg Output High Excursion Sealed SPL Awards :
1st : Kicker SOLOX 12
2nd : JL Audio w7
3rd : Image Dynamics IDMAX
Peak SPL High Excursion SPL Sealed Awards :
1st : JL Audio w7
2nd : Kicker SOLOX 12
3rd : [Tie] Diamond Audio D9 / Image Dynamics IDMAX
http://www.icixsound.com/vb/article.php?a=13
Avg Output High Excursion Vented SPL Awards :
1st : SOLOX12 : 132.75dB
2nd : JL Audio 12w7 : 128.68dB
3rd : Diamdon Audio D9 : 128.34dB
Peak SPL High Excursion SPL Vented Awards :
1st : SOLOX12 : 146dB @ 54Hz
2nd : MTX 9500 : 145.1 @ 46Hz
3rd : JL Audio w7 : 144.3 @ 55Hz
Looks like the MTX 9500 only finished 2nd in one out of 4 tests. Didn't place in the top three in the other SPL tests.
Placed last in listening tests in that comparison also:

So, what was that you were saying again??
There's one comparison to show you that it isn't the greatest woofer on earth.
i bet you havn't even ever heard a 9500
Sounds like the
only sub you've heard is a 9500 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
whoevers askin abotu this sub, get it and show some of these ignorant people that a $700 woofer does indeed out perform a $200 woofer,
I never even said it was a "bad" sub, or that it would/wouldn't outperform the Type R. I was laughing at the fact you posted up that ridiculous MTX propoganda from their website which proves 100% absolutely nothing, other than MTX relies on telling their consumers half the story to mislead them into believing their product is best.
we shouldn't even be arguing about this because there is no comparison between these 2 woofers
I wasn't arguing about anything to that affect. Only about how worthless those "comparisons" on MTX's website were, that you tried using as "proof" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
IIRC in that video you linked they only show you voltage, and don't tell you what impedance that woofers were wired to or the amperage. Which means they could have wired the MTX 9500 to 8ohm and wired the other two to a lower impedance...hence giving the MTX
less power. Voltage alone means nothing. I can plug
any subwoofer into a 120VAC wall socket without damage if I wire it to a high enough impedance.
