Finished Building System, Any thoughts?

We've run a multitude of them. But no, I don't know anything, nor do the others here doing 150s and 160s

Who is this we that you speak of? Are you running Taramps? Remember, like you said, many times, if you aren't running them, then don't comment on them. You should live by your own rules. Some people!

Yup xfls.

Plus my alternator is regulated so it never goes above 14.2v

My alternator is also regulated, but only 95 amps. I have two H6 AGM's for batteries (for now). The one thing that I noticed on some of the Taramps amps is the low S/N ratio. Is that anything to be concerned about? I'm really trying to understand these amps. I was contemplating getting the MD30001 4 ohm version and running my sub at 4 ohms. I think the amp would be more efficient and less distortion, while still putting out 3,000 watts.

I had the hd3000 and didn't love it.

The bass line is designed for subs and more efficient than MD line which is why I went with bass line over MD.

Think it was like $75 more than the MD

Just buy from Amazon and if for any reason it doesn't work out they will take it back it back no questions asked. Believe me lol

Dude Now your just stirring. I said it doesn’t make sense to talk **** on taramps/Brazilian technology when you haven’t used one. I gave compliments to Brazilian technology and their well known corresponding efficiency. That’s like giving props to German cars as the world knows Germans make great cars. Were i to say “I would stay away from German cars” without having owned one or having experience is just sour grapes or being a dumbass.

quit being A Dumb and contribute something to your own post...like what amp do you plan on running that you think meets your needs. Now I’m interested...

O.k., I would actually love to get a hold of a Brutal Sounds BS2.1. Over 90% efficient at all ohm tests. Rated at 2,100 watts and tested well over that, I think around 2,350 or so. But, the efficiency rates are off the charts.

Finishing up the box tonight. 35"L X 21"W X 16.5"H. If my math is correct, the box is 5.57 cubes gross and 3.9-4.0 cubes net. Tuned to 32hz. Still needs siliconed and three more coats of clear. Still have to run the router around the box, as well. Battery has been sitting for two days.

I cant remember what exactly it was but Brutal Sounds ended up removing the post where they advertised 90% efficiency.

Pretty sure there were a few post on here about it.

Looks like you put the 45's where you wanted, changed the baffle and added doweling.
I'm sure it'll be fine, but that's it... I'm tired of designing crap and having it "modified"... I'm out.

I couldn't find a 1.25" dowel, so, I used two 5/8". I used the 1" mdf on bottom instead of the top, like we talked about. I added one 45, that's it. All the 45's are exactly where you wanted them. The air space is the same minus the one 45 that I added. The red shows the minor additions that I made. Sorry!

I watched the video of the dyno test. It looked legit to me, but that's not saying much. People are pre-ordering them right now. Do you know why Taramps makes different ohm versions of the same amp? For instance, MD30001 1 ohm version and MD30001 4 ohm version.

Amp dynos and real life are two different things. Just like the Orion HCCA 3000.1 SPLX Dynoed something retarded like 8000 watts but I'm good friends with Team Orion and have seen them in person only clamping 3k.

IIRC the BS amps really clamped 70 something % efficiency IRL. It's been over a year since that was talked about here.

Taramps makes different ohm load amps for people that need different ohm load amps. Not everyone can wire down to 1 ohm so they catered to those who can't. Every one of my monoblock Taramps amps have been 1 ohm models though.
