yout HT sub......

I don't have a sub anymore because I couldn't use it much in my apartment, so I sold it. But it was a Velodyne SPL-800 Series II, 8" subwoofer with a 1000 watt RMS amp. I loved it, small and powerful. Great output for HT purposes, but also great for music. I mainly used my system for music, and that sub was a great compliment. If I ever move into a house, I would definately look for another sub from Velodyne.

Only two things I didn't like about it. The bright *** blue LED on the front of the unit, it was so bright I had to put a piece of black electrical tape over it. And the fact that it wasn't magnetically shielded. I had to keep it 4-5 feet away from my CRT TV, the 10" and 12" models are shielded.

BTW, they made a new version of it, the SPL-R. Has a parametric EQ built in with a mic to correct for room acoustics and also a remote, to control sub volume and change presets (like movie, jazz, rock, etc.).
