Will this sub work!?

Ok, I'm in need of some pretty quick help here. There is a guy about 15 minutes from me with a 10" Kicker L7. Someone tried to rip it off and cut part of the sub. He tells me how it still slams, but I am a little worried as to purchasing the sub. Im getting a hell of a deal on it, but don't want to buy and have it punch out in a day or two. I HAVE PICS. They are too big to post here, so anyone willing to help out a desperate newbie, reply here and ill drop the pics in an email. Thanks in advance!

I have not purchased this sub yet. I'm getting it for $50 in a custom made box. Personal opinions, worth the money? What kinda amp would I need to push this thing to it's full potential?

i say yes for $50 u can probaly get a recone pretty cheap id epoxy it for now

Yeah, you can get it at any hardware store. I think if you epoxy it you will be fine.

how much you looking to spend for sub and box njt, i have 2 12" memphis m3 in a ported box that will be up for sale in the next couple days, i'm finishing up on my 15" box for my L7's
