i have an IDQ 15" sealed and man i love it. It will hit any note at pretty much 62/62 on my HU with 500rms to it, no distortion. If you want good SQ look into Image Dynamics!

x2 IDQ 15"s and/or a Mag 15" would be the only subs i would swap my IDmax's for.

Nah, really, I think what you are looking for is more along the lines of midbass, thats what really gives you that middle of the chest punch. Go with some 6.5's or even 7's, and power them approprietly.

Otherwise, I'd say go with a sealed box for whatever sub(s) you do get.

any subwoofer doesnt have to move 26 cycles in order to make a 26hz tone, its just the rate it moves at to make the tone, like in a car it says you are going 50 mph, does that mean you have to go 50 miles in an hour to make the speed true? no its just the rate at which it moves inorder to make the tone.

if a sub actually had to play 26 cycles a second you wouldnt here anything but 1 sound every second out of a sub.
