Why not drop bombs from an airplane? Then you have a better chance to hit your mark.
We are currently developing missilles that will evaporate 100s of square feet. You will be sure hit your mark then.
If you could make one that does not make the deer meat taste like dirt and tree bark, I would be all for it. Deer meat has to be some of the worst tasting meat there is, no matter how you prepare it.

I'm more of a cow steak eater myself. I prefer to have my cows sloats slit and then bleed out or shocked to death, that seems to make the meat tastier.

And this is fair...so much for a "sporting" chance.
life isnt fair. what about the people with inside tips on the stock market? people with friends who are mechanics and get their cars fixed for free, or at discounted prices. or people with rich parents who buy them everything while some other peoples parents couldnt give a shit about them. what about everyone else who dont know people, and dont have "hookups". whats fair about that? life isnt fair. take the advantages you have and exploit them.

I shot, gutted and skinned my first deer when I was 12 years old

and butchered chickens, pigs and cows back on the farm

all for food for myself and my family

bottom line is people have to eat...the body needs meat protein

when is the last time you have ever seen a healthy looking vegetarian....????

give me a good steak any day over a bowl of rabbit food

but you are Canadian so we already know you are doomed to hell and have no moral compass.

I already said how they die is irrelevant. I am not the other Josh as humaity isn't a point or focus for me.

I have met people who run slaughter houses. I have used a blowtorch on a pig to burn the hair off. How an animal dies doesn't seem to bother me. How a person dies doesn't seem to bother me. (which is why working for the DoD is good). Blown to pieces or a slow death via cancer...all about the same.

Calling it a sport is quite different. The people who ran those slaughterhouses didnt say that their actions was a sport. People who shoot defenseless animals who don't have an equal opportunity to attack you is not a sport.

Sports require rules which level the playing field. The field is not and will not be level until the animals have the same capabilities as people. Since I don't see Mufassa splitting the atom anytime soon; it is only fair that we compete on their level.

These actions all make the market inefficient.

I have never seen in any sporting event where it is okay for competitor to have a distinct comparative advantage over another. The deer are unaware that they are even competitng with guns.

Do Olympic runners race animals?

Do basketball players compete against animals?

What other sport requires people to compete against animals?

Animals competing against animals = okay

people competing against people = okay

People competing against animals = not okay.

then youve just ruled out the whole sense of individualism. your whole life youve been told to take your intelligence as far as you can, dont let anyone hold you back. just because the US has nukes and the towelheads dont, why should we restrict ourselves to fighting hand to hand combat and risk casulaties just for a fiar fight. ****'em. just because your smarter than someone else doesnt mean you should retard your learning, or take away some of your own capabilities.

No problem with killing a deer, goat, person, etc for sustainment of life.

Problem lies with calling it some kind of sport.

The towelheads, as you call them, are quite aware that we are competing against them.

The deer do not receive this notification. Furthermore, a deer cannot shoot back. It's retailiations are rare circumstances.

A towelhead, as you call them, retaliating agianst us barely makes the news.

According to your logic, if we lined up retards in a firing range, that would be okay because we are intellectually superior.

I never said I shot them for sport. So, If I say I like to shoot them just because that is okay w/ you?

Just say, you couldn't care less if all the deer in the world die but it's why people say they kill them that bothers you.

Your right, I have no feelings for someone who dies unless it is a child or a women ( I do think some women and what are considered childeren should die if they perform unhuman acts against others). That seems to really bother me because I see them as being defenseless. It saddens me to think that we both have somewhat of the same logic.

Shooting the for the food is okay, hell I even eat deer. Although other options are available, deer is a rare delicacy and I enjoy it.

I don't really think shooting a deer and leaving it there is okay either. Neither do many true hunters. They find equal discust in people who do that.

Why does it sadden you? I think my logic is pretty accurate, linear, and defensible.

hey i figure i should share some pictures of last seasons bow hunt...

I spotted this deer at around 10:45am when we were driving back to camp from a morning hunt. It was about a week into bow season 06' I wasnt hunting since i can no longer bow hunt but my buddy was and this was one of the finest deer we have seen where we hunt. Its a Columbian Black Tail. We were in the eldorado national forest in CA. About 20 miles south west of Tahoe.

A close up shot of the deer. At first we couldnt believe our eyes but my buddy got the chance to get out of the truck and get into position without the deer moving. This deer was about 70 yards out and my buddys bow only had up to 60 yard pin on it. He had been taking 70-120 yard shots the night before just incase we saw anyhting at distance but where we hunt distance is 50 yards...

Here is a relative shot to show the distance from the point of release.

He missed unfortunatly, it would of been his first archery kill. It was quite a experience though. He got anxious and didnt take the time to steady out and the arrow missed by about 2 feet low. Hit the dirt right below the bucks hoof.
